Resin Samples

My samples are not all that original, but i wanted to see how layering opaque and translucent colours would work.

I like the the combination of yellow tones and white to make my pineapple colour.

Brief numero 3 !

Colour Project - inspired by a fruit.
Using resin and acrylic.
I was given the funky pineapple !
I don't care to much for the resin and acrylic but I must make it work for me. I thinking about working along the lines of structure (my usual weapon of choice), imitating the pineapples 'sprouting' greenery.
As always....lets see how this progresses.

Making and developing my bit 'n' bobs

Kind of getting there with my piece ! These are my three starter shapes. have been arranging them to see how well they sit together.

Have taken Joanne's theme of repetitive structures and come up with something inspired by the Beijing Olympics swimming pool - The Water Cube.................Well I think its coming on nicely (screws up face, a little unsure still).
I would like to incorporate some beading, possibly where the pieces will join to each other.

Some of Joannes work

My given Jeweller to be inspired by !

Ive decided to start a blog ! arrhh.... Lets see how this goes.
For my current project at uni my class has been given a jeweller to research and be inspired by. We've to look into their inspiration, techniques and philosophy.
My jeweller has a blog so she can share how her work is progressing, her interests and little bits of nothing ! I think she uses it for whatever she feels.
So here I am.....

Joanne Thompsons work has alot of Unit Construction so im thinking of using one or two shapes and multiplying them and adding a little beading.
Lets see how this turns out.....hmmmm.....
